This article examines the experience of legal regulation of the use of incentives for civil servants in foreign countries, raises the question of determining the priorities of borrowing it for the Republic of Kazakhstan. The author substantiates the importance of taking into account the positive foreign experience of solving this issue as a whole for the development of public service in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and to ensure its effectiveness. The emphasis is placed on the fact that the borrowing of foreign experience should not be total, selective in relation to one or several countries, but balanced, justified, with mandatory consideration of the specifics of the national rule-making process, the needs of the current stage of state development. For this purpose, an in-depth analysis of foreign experience in solving certain issues of legal support for the effectiveness of public service is important. The article analyzes the experience of many foreign countries that are "included" in various legal systems of the world, highlights the peculiarities of determining the types of incentives and the basics of the procedure for their application.
