The procedure of consideration of criminal cases by a court with jury participation under the CPC of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CPC of the Russian Federation has significant differences. Comparative legal analysis is useful in establishing the advantages in the order of regulation of legal relations in the compared normative legal acts of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. The assessment of advantages can be used as a basis for legislative proposals to improve sectoral legislation in the system of national law. Implementation of legal paradigms is one of the most productive ways of convergence of legislations of different countries, especially the countries of the near abroad, which have many years of common legal history.
