The article is devoted to the problem of ensuring citizens' environmental rights. The article considers topical issues related to the protection of citizens' environmental rights, such as access to information on the state of the environment, participation in decision-making related to environmental problems, and legal protection. The authors analyze various aspects of this problem and come to the conclusion that in order to ensure effective protection of citizens' environmental rights it is necessary to develop mechanisms for citizen participation in decision-making related to environmental issues, improve citizens' access to information about the state of the environment and strengthen legal protection of citizens' environmental rights. Thus, the article is an important contribution to the study of the problem of ensuring environmental rights of citizens and may be useful for specialists in the field of ecology and law, as well as for a wide audience interested in this topic
