The article examines the peculiarities of the behavior of persons convicted of corruption in Kazakhstan, with an emphasis on their social and psychological characteristics. The authors explores how these features affect their behavior and perception of punishment. Based on data from criminological and psychological research, the work shows that corrupt officials often possess qualities such as manipulativeness, desire for power and cynicism, which complicates their re-socialization and makes it difficult to identify and prevent their crimes. The article emphasizes the need to develop more effective re-socialization programs that take into account the behavioral and psychological characteristics of those convicted of corruption.
