Annotation. In this article, legal liability is considered as an important tool for strengthening environmental law and order. The paper analyzes various forms of legal liability, such as criminal, administrative and civil, with an emphasis on their importance in preventing environmental offenses and ensuring environmental protection. Special attention is paid to the practical aspects of the application of legal liability in the field of environmental law and its impact on compliance with established environmental standards and requirements. The article also raises issues related to law enforcement and suggests possible directions for improving legislation aimed at strengthening environmental protection. Attention is focused on legal responsibility as a key element ensuring sustainable development and maintaining environmental law and order.
