Deviant behaviour of military personnel is a problem for many countries of the world. Kazakhstan is not an exception. The coverage of this phenomenon is quite wide: from privates to commanders of different levels and ranks. Particularly alarming is the spread of deviant behaviour among conscript servicemen, represented by young people. Deviant behaviour has extremely negative consequences. The most severe and irreversible are suicidal manifestations. The task of criminological science is to develop effective measures to counteract such manifestations. The specificity of military service is that it is organised and takes place under the conditions of military regulations. Traditionally applied preventive measures may not have the expected effect. This circumstance requires the application of preventive measures adapted to the conditions of military service.
